Pastor’s wife murdered in Benue

Pastor's wife murdered in Benue Eunice Omaye Odoba, a 55-year-old wife of a Pastor of Lord’s Chosen Church has reportedly been murdered by yet-to-be identified assailants.  The mother of three was reportedly stabbed on the chest in her home at Perfect Avenue in Otukpo town of Benue State. Odoba was found in the pool of her blood after members of her church from the Lord’s Chosen branch in Otukpo, checked up on her to know why she did not attend the Sunday service. Policemen who were notified of the incident, evacuated the body of the pastor’s wife and deposited same in the mortuary. Recounting how the incident occurred, the deceased’s younger brother Adoba Mac told newsmen in Makurdi;  “We had a family meeting earlier. We finished the family meeting around 6:30 am yesterday (Sunday) she was rushing to go to church and I was the one who took her on my motorcycle to a junction to her house and we parted.“Only for me to receive a call from someone who was working around her house around 3:00 pm (the area is just being developed) that I should rush down to my sister’s house.“On getting there I saw some of her church members who I later learnt said that they did not see her in the church which is very unusual and they decided to check her at home.“When I saw her lying down in the pool of her blood, I also discovered that she was stabbed at the topmost part of her breast.” Mac also revealed that his late sister was alone in the house at the time of the incident as her three children – the female, a student of School of Nursing in Enugu and two male, one of them a youth corp member while the other a banker in Abuja, were all away from home. He added that the deceased’s husband left for his missionary trip to Equitorial Guinea in February, this year.The post Pastor’s wife murdered in Benue appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
